Types of Support
Consulting
The Office of Research faculty will collaborate with both KUSM-W Investigators and Outside Investigators through the complete research process, from concept to publication, including grant proposals and submissions, to help ensure the highest quality, most scientifically sound clinical research. We work with you to articulate your research objectives, conduct literature reviews, identify funding opportunities, select research designs, define population and samples, determine sample sizes, plan measurements, develop data instruments, construct timelines and budgets, design consent forms, design HIPAA forms, refine proposals/protocols, design databases, enter data, clean data, conduct descriptive analysis, conduct inferential analysis, report and present results, and co-author manuscripts for a diverse range of research areas.
Grants
The Office of Research is responsible for the pre-award or application phase of obtaining extramural funding. We process proposals for funding from both federal and private funding agencies. Proposals may fall into the following categories: research, service, or training/instruction. We work with faculty to ensure proposals are in compliance with university rules, government regulations, and specific practices of the funding agency.
