Research Advisory Council - Wichita
Purpose Statement
The Research Advisory Council – Wichita (RAC-W) serves as a forum to review research-related issues and advance the research-related goals and objectives of the Wichita campus. The Council serves as a channel that the faculty, department chairs, and center and institute directors can use to convey issues and receive information.
Some specific functions of the Research Advisory Council – Wichita are:
- Develop plans and proposals that will result in significant increases in funding from external sources for clinical research on the Wichita campus;
- Develop and recommend research administration policies for clinical research on the Wichita campus;
- Develop Wichita campus input that the Wichita RAC representative may take to RAC discussions.
Council Representatives
The RAC-W consists of representatives from each of the five full-time departments and from each participating part-time department. The Office of Research will provide staff support to the Council.
Meeting Protocol
The Council is scheduled to meet with the Associate Dean for Research once a month. Special meetings may be held as necessary. Minutes will be maintained and posted on this web site to help inform the entire campus.
