Richard Berger, MD, DABR
Assistant Clinical Professor
Chief of Interventional & Diagnostic Neuroradiology
& Magnetic Resonance

Dr Berger is a senior member of both the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Society of Therapeutic and Interventional Neuroradiology. He is very active in both societies often serving as faculty for their annual meetings as well as an abstract reviewer. He is also a board examiner in diagnostic neuroradiology as well as the neuroradiology CAQ examination for the ABR. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and holds a CAQ in neuroradiology. He runs a very busy and successful interventional neuroradiology service which provides extensive resident exposure to the full gamut of procedures including brain aneurysm coiling, acute stroke intervention, carotid stenting, as well as numerous spine pain interventions. Dr. Berger believes in giving residents as much hands-on experience as possible using a state of the art biplane, 3D angio lab. He also encourages resident participation in academic projects, which affords residents the opportunity to present at scientific meetings. If potential applicants have any questions relating to the diagnostic/interventional neuroradiology service, he welcomes your email at rberger@neurorad.org.
