Rotations for Third Year
- 12 months Resident Outpatient Psychiatry
The Via Christi Psychiatric Clinic is located on the Good Shepherd Campus. In addition to running their own psychiatry clinic, the residents spend one day per week at ComCare (Sedgwick County Department of Mental Health) providing psychiatric care to several community mental health programs. These include Crisis Intervention Services, Addiction Treatment Services and Community Support Systems where they see the severely persistently mentally ill. The residents also have one week long experience in forensic psychiatry at Larned State Hospital.
Rotations for Fourth Year
- 1 month Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- 3 months on Inpatient Psychiatry in the role of Senior Resident
- 7 months of Elective time spent on an approved rotation.
- Research Fellowship as arranged with Clinical Research Institute
- Electives Include:
- PTSD
- Palliative Care
- Psychotherapy
- Neuroimaging
- Neuropsych Testing
- Addiction Psychiatry
- Additional months in Geriatric Psychiatry as Senior Resident
- Additional months in C/L Psychiatry as Senior Resident
