Gina is a human factors psychologist. She has worked in various academic environments teaching psychology-related curriculum, technology, research processes, and statistics. Gina pursued her PhD in Human Factors Psychology focusing on causal determinants of patient satisfaction. She has experience in community-based research and quality improvement and specializes in methodology and experimental design. During her course training, Gina investigated website usability, internet communities, classroom technologies, faculty evaluations, and student satisfaction.
Gina is currently developing and supporting Wesley Medical Center’s Trauma Services Research and Scholarship program. Research interests in this area include sepsis, intra-abdominal pressure, pressure ulcers, deep vein thromboses, critical care nursing practices, pastoral care of trauma patients and their families, as well as triage schematics. She is also developing process and documentation procedures for the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety committee.
Gina is also very interested in group collaboration and team behaviors.
