Interviews provide opportunities for applicants to get to know us and our community and for us to get to know applicants. There will be a dinner with residents the evening before the interview to provide applicants with an opportunity to get to know our residents and ask questions in an informal setting. KU Wichita Pediatrics will arrange for and pay for a hotel for applicants the night before the interview. The program can assist with applicant transportation to and from the airport, dinner and interview. We interview applicants from October through mid-December.

Visiting Student Scholarship
The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Department of Pediatrics also offers a scholarship to three non-KU visiting senior medical students per year from medical schools in the United States to complete a rotation during their fourth year of medical school at KU Wichita. The scholarship includes a $2,000 stipend to offset the costs of travel and room and board during the rotation. Preference will be given to academically high-achieving students from medical schools in the Midwest. For more details, go to our Visiting Student Scholarship page.
