Why did you choose KU Wichita Pediatrics?
As a medical student, I saw residents develop a broad clinical knowledge base of general pediatrics on the wards and in clinic while also having specialties' involvement in patient care that was accessible and ideal for learning. This, combined with the fact that Wichita is my hometown, made KU Wichita Pediatrics my top choice.

I am currently working with an outpatient clinical preceptor on a research project aiming to create a more patient-friendly Asthma Action Plan.

What are your hobbies?
Family time with my husband and two daughters which usually consists of zoo visits, walks around our neighborhood and trying to garden in our backyard.

Favorite pediatric moment:
Getting to see my co-residents grow as clinicians to the point of which I feel comfortable taking my two little girls to see them in clinic as providers.

Favorite part of Wichita:
Besides my childhood home (where my parents still live and host epic family get-togethers weekly), I love the Sedgwick County Zoo that I grew up with and now get to explore with my little ones.

Why did you choose KU Wichita Pediatrics?
My husband was matched in the Peds residency the year prior to me. However, after a year of being here, I wanted to match in this program due to its great education, family support and hospitality. We have a little girl, and we wanted her to be raised in a structure where she will feel loved, and that's what we felt in Wichita and from this residency. We felt supported during our education and our dreams to pursue our endeavors.

After my little one was born, I would bring her to the didactics to spend time with her while I was in lectures, although most of the time she would go from one resident to another to share her love. I felt so supported and appreciated to know that I have a big team supporting me and loving my child.
