Many educational opportunities await you in Pediatrics such as participating in a senior elective with a state-of-the-art pediatric intensive care unit in Wichita or traveling out of town to learn about rural medicine in a small Kansas community. The Department of Pediatrics has outstanding full time faculty and volunteer faculty preceptors who enjoy teaching and strive to provide a comfortable yet challenging learning environment with many opportunities for patient interaction.
We offer sixteen different electives along with General Pediatrics, Neonatology and Pediatric Critical Care Sub-Internship opportunities and rural medicine rotations in twelve Kansas communities. Specific Electives and Rural Medicine information is available at web site address link for your perusal.
If you are interested in participating in our program we invite you to contact us and we would be more than happy to assist you in your educational journey.
