The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita OB-GYN Residency Program recruits five PGY-1 positions per academic year.
We will be following the CREOG/APGO specialty-wide standards for the residency application and interview process. More information and a FAQ about the standards can be found here. Our program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service. Applications are accepted by electronic filing only.
We will follow the APGO and CREOG revised timeline for the 2021 application cycle:

All application materials must be submitted by November 1, 2020.

Applicants are reviewed based on academic record, professional background, personal qualities, recommendations, and interviews. The rank list is reviewed in a meeting that includes faculty and residents prior to its submission to the NRMP.
Invitations are extended via the ERAS system. Candidates selected for interviews will have an opportunity to meet with faculty, residents, and staff on their interview day.

What is your application deadline?
Our application deadline is November 1, 2020.
Does your program provide opportunities for "second looks"?
Our program will not participate in second looks this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Do you have minimum USMLE score requirements?
There is no minimum score. We do require a passing score on Step 1, Step 2 CK and CS to be ranked.
Does your program consider Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine applicants?
We assess each individual based on his/her own merits with no policy excluding DO applicants.
Does your program consider International Medical Graduates?
We assess each individual based on his/her own merits with no policy excluding IMGs.
Do IMGs need special certification?
ECFMG certification is required for all International Medical Graduates.
What type of visas do you sponsor?
We offer J-1 visa sponsorship.
Is U.S. clinical experience required to apply for residency?
No.
Is there a requirement for a minimum or maximum time since medical school graduation before entering residency?
No.
Do you offer pre-match positions?
No, we do not offer any pre-match positions.
