It's the 25th anniversary of the Wichita AIDS Walk! In commemoration, this year's event will be an all-day festival and market. Show your support on Saturday, July 20, at WAVE, located at 650 E. 2nd Street N. in downtown Wichita.

From noon-10 p.m., local artists, businesses, community partners and live bands will make this an experience you won't want to miss.

The fundraising goal of $75,000 will help "Roll Over the Stigma" with the purchase of a mobile testing van for Positive Directions. This van will make it possible to reach communities with limited access to services.

Every dollar of the funds raised stays local. KU Wichita Midtown has formed a walk team. To join, visit the walk page, click on "Join," select "Join a Team," then choose "KU Midtown." Once you're signed up for a team, you'll also need to register for the walk in order to fundraise. As an added incentive, if the KU Wichita Midtown team raises more than $500, a portion of the money will be donated to the KU Wichita Midtown Ryan White HIV program!

The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at WAVE. While supplies last, KU Wichita Midtown red ribbon T-shirts will be given out to team participants as they arrive.
