Dr. Garold Minns elected Master Fellow in American College of Physicians

WICHITA, KAN. - Garold Minns, M.D., dean of the KU School of Medicine-Wichita, has been elected a Master Fellow in the American College of Physicians (ACP).

The ACP is the national professional organization of internists. It is the largest medical specialty organization in the nation and the second-largest in membership, with 143,000 physicians.

Fellowships are awarded for distinction and excellence in contributions made not only within the practice of medicine, but within the community in which the internist lives.

Minns, a 1974 graduate of the KU School of Medicine-Wichita, has served on the faculty since 1980. In addition to his role as dean, he is also a professor and program director for internal medicine, and associate dean of student affairs.              

The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita educates doctors for Kansas while improving the health of Kansans through research and innovation.
