The mission of the HIV program is to provide care and early intervention services to all HIV-positive individuals in the state of Kansas, regardless of ability to pay.
The Office of Clinical Research has been conducting clinical research for more than 15 years. Donna Sweet, M.D., was instrumental in starting the research program and continues to oversee all aspects as prinicpal investigator. The research team has more than 50 years combined experience working with HIV/AIDS.
A wide range of research opportunities are provided to a diverse patient population. The research office specializes primarily in HIV/AIDS research protocols. Research protocols give people access to the newest available medications they either could not afford or medications that are still experimental.
