Curriculum Development

Educating PhysiciansMedical school curricula constantly evolve to keep pace with developments in medical science, in medical and educational technology, and in our understanding of how young adults learn best. New curriculum models that have been successful at other medical schools in the U.S. and Canada are being explored to find ways to improve the education offered to medical students in Kansas. Educating Physicians: A Call for Reform of Medical School and Residency*, published in 2010 by the Carnegie Foundation is a seminal report that identifies new challenges to traditional medical curricula, and these are being used to drive development discussions.
