Medical Sciences

Welcome to the Department of Medical Sciences website. We are the newest department at the KU School of Medicine–Wichita, created in response to the expansion of the medical education program on the Wichita Campus to include the first and second years of the four-year medical school curriculum. Department faculty and staff have primary responsibility for the first and second year curriculum in Wichita and for the direction and support of ongoing analysis and renewal of that curriculum.

We are in a rapid development phase, coalescing a predominately basic medical sciences faculty partly in collaboration with other institutions of higher education in the region, including Wichita State University and Newman University. We invite you to explore the department's pages to learn more about our faculty, staff, and activities.
