Cochrane Library
The Cochrane Library is a respected source of evidence-based information
on the effects of interventions in health care. Published on a quarterly
basis, it consists of seven databases, including the Cochrane Database
of Systematic Reviews.
DynaMed
DynaMed is a clinical reference tool created for physicians and other health care professionals for use primarily at the “point-of-care.” It provides clinically-organized summaries for nearly 2,000 topics.
DynaMed is updated daily and monitors the content of over 500 medical journals and systematic evidence review databases directly and indirectly by using many journal review services. Each publication is reviewed cover-to-cover, and each article is evaluated for clinical relevance and scientific validity.
PubMed (Medline)
PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 15 million
citations from MEDLINE and additional life science journals for biomedical
articles back to the 1950's. It also includes links to full text articles
and other related resources.
TOXNET
TOXNET is a cluster of databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals, and
related areas.
UpToDate
UpToDate is a clinical electronic designed to provide current answers to patient care, diagnosis and treatment questions at the “point of care.” Physician editors and authors review and update the content on a continuous basis and a new, peer-reviewed version is issued every four months.
