As a community-focused medical school with dedicated educators, we have an opportunity to define a competency-based curriculum to educate and prepare health care professionals who will provide quality evidence-based patient and population-centered health care.
Practices
- Identify, respect, and care about patient differences, values, preferences, and expressed needs; relieve pain and suffering; listen to, clearly inform, communicate with, and educate patients; share decision making and management; and continuously advocate disease prevention, wellness, and promotion of healthy lifestyles, including a focus on population health.
