Applicant Interview Format

Interviews are scheduled during the months of November through January by invitation only. A typical itinerary includes most or all of the following:

• Attend Morning Teaching Conference
• Interview with a resident and tour of a hospital facility.
• Interview with a Department of Internal Medicine faculty member.
• Interview with the Program Director and/or Associate Program Directors.
• Interview with Department Chairman.
• Attend Grand Rounds luncheon or have lunch with one or two Internal Medicine Residents.
• Med/Peds applicants will also meet with faculty members and the chairman of the Pediatric Department.

Interviews are generally completed by 3:30 p.m. At the applicant's request, dinner arrangements can be made with Internal Medicine Residents on the evening prior to the scheduled interview date. This provides the applicant the opportunity to meet with Internal Medicine residents in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Lodging can be arranged for out of state applicants upon request at no charge.
