Classified State Employees Compensation

The proposal to change the pay plan for classified state employees, including the five-year funding plan to increase wages that have fallen behind the job market, has been approved.  This is a monumental event, and employees will see a difference beginning with their paychecks on July 11, 2008.

All classified state employees will receive the 2.5% general increase.  Others in certain classifications will receive an additional market increase.

Classifications affected on the Wichita campus include:
Accountant I and II
Administrative Assistant, Sr. Administrative Assistant, and Administrative Specialist
Custodial Specialist
Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
GMRT Sr.
Photographer Sr.
Printer Sr.

Classifications that are being upgraded to a higher classification include:
Custodial Supervisor - upgraded to Custodial Supervisor Sr.
Custodial Worker - upgraded to Custodial Specialist
Graphic Designer Sr. - upgraded to Graphic Designer Specialist
