Appreciation and Recognition Council
Purpose Statement
The Appreciation and Recognition Council exists to provide guidance and feedback to the Dean and human resources personnel regarding recognition and appreciation events designed for employees of KUSM-W, MPA and KUEA.
The specific duties of the ARC include:
- Be a regular participant in quarterly meetings and provide input and feedback regarding recognition and appreciation events and issues.
- Encourage participation of respective departments in events.
- Provide communication back to respective departments regarding events and related issues.
- Support and promote employee events through positive communication.
- Provide assistance with events as time allows and encourage department involvement.
Membership on the Appreciation and Recognition Council is encouraged from all departments of the above entities. Department supervisors shall be responsible to determine their respective department involvement.
Final decisions regarding employee events and other related issues will rest with the human resources staff with support and approval of the Associate Dean for Administration and the Dean of the medical school.
