An
exhibit of 21 oil paintings submitted by members of the Wichita
Oil Painting Society, is on display through May 11 in the William
J. Reals Gallery of Art-East at the University of Kansas School
of Medicine-Wichita, 1010 N. Kansas. The exhibit will open with
a reception from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., Friday, Apr. 6, in the esplanade.
The
Society's mission is to contribute to the encouragement of the development
of art and to serve as a nucleus for interest and information of
the arts. The non-profit organization carries out educational programs
for members and works in cooperation with the city and surrounding
communities to offer encouragement in all forms of art and culture
to the public.
The
exhibit, which is free to the public, may be viewed during regular
gallery hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The exhibit
is closed Saturday and Sunday.
