"Kansas Landscapes Plus One" Gloria Webber On display May 31 - July 5, 2002 Gallery East "Kansas Landscapes Plus One," 18 watercolors, oils and pastels by Gloria Webber, will be on display May 31 - July 5, in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art-East at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. A public reception honoring the artist is 2:30 - 3:15 p.m., Friday, May 31, in the gallery area. Currently a Newton, Kan., resident, Webber is attracted to painting Kansas ponds, which she calls "jewels of Kansas." She has taken art classes through the Hutchinson Recreation Center and Wichita Art Association, and has studied at Bethel College, North Newton, Kan., and Butler County Community College, El Dorado, Kan. Her work is also on display at Newton's Carriage Factory Gallery. The exhibition,
which is free and open to the public, is available during regular gallery
hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The building is closed
to the public Saturdays and Sundays.
