"Fall Welcome" “FALL WELCOME,” an exhibit by the Kansas Art Guild will be presented in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art – East at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, Oct. 6 – Nov. 24, 2006. The exhibition will consist of approximately 20 pieces of various media. There will be a public reception, Friday, Oct. 6, from 2:30 – 3:15 p.m., in the gallery area. The Kansas Art Guild was founded in 1977. Its primary purpose is to encourage all artists, regardless of their skill level, to develop their interests and skills, and display their original art work for sale and have juried exhibitions throughout the year. Currently, several juried exhibits are being shown in and around Wichita. A permanent exhibit is located at the Catholic Care Center in Belaire, Ks. The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita is nationally recognized as a pioneer in community-oriented medical education. Since the first class graduated in 1975, 1,458 physicians have earned medical degrees. About half of these eventually established practices in the state, fulfilling KUSM-W’s promise of “Educating Doctors For Kansas.” |
