"Illusions," an exhibition of 20 pastels and watercolors by Anne Horton, will be on display in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art - East, Jan. 25 - Mar. 1. There will be a public reception, 2:30 - 3:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, in the gallery area, and the artist will present a short, informal gallery talk at 2:45 p.m. Horton, a native Wichitan, has traveled to many different countries, and much of the subject matter of her paintings is taken from photographs of her travels. Her favorite subject matter is portraiture and landscapes, and her paintings express her perception of the people and places she has visited. The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, is available during regular gallery hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The building is closed to the public Saturdays and Sundays.
