"More Than Meets the Eye" an exhibit by
“More Than Meets the Eye,” an exhibit by Carol Davis and Linda Metsker will be held from 2:30-3:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art – East, at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, 1010 N. Kansas. The exhibit, which runs from Dec. 7, through Jan. 25, 2008, consists of approximately 20 watercolor batiks and is free and open to the public, 8-5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Davis exhibits with Wichita Women Artists of Wichita, Mid West Artists, and also enters juried shows. She is a member of the Kansas Watercolor Eight State Show and her art has been accepted into national and regional shows. The Coutts Museum in El Dorado has purchased a portrait for their permanent collection. Metsker is a member of art organizations where her work has appeared in exhibits, galleries, art fairs, and retail stores. The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita is nationally recognized as a pioneer in community-oriented medical education. Since the first class graduated in 1975, 1,504 physicians have earned medical degrees. About half of these eventually established practices in the state, fulfilling KUSM-W’s promise of “Educating Doctors For Kansas.”
