The following policy is written to insure that we comply with all State Regulations and that we are using our limited resources in support of our direct educational, research, clinical and service responsibilities.

Group I

This group consists of any department directly affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.

Group II

This group consists of Non-profit organizations, Kansas governmental agencies, and any organization charging a fee to cover the expenses of their event that is sponsored by anyone in Group I. (The ability to sponsor an organization is limited to KUSM-W Faculty and Department Directors).

Group III

Any commercial business as defined by State Regulations.

Anyone in Group II or III may be charged a room fee and any special housekeeping fees to clean up after the event. Most events held Monday through Friday are covered by our current housekeeping services. However, there may be instances where additional housekeeping will be required during an event and this will be provided at an extra charge. In addition, any Group holding an event on Saturday or Sunday will incur a special housekeeping charge to ensure the rooms are clean for Monday morning events.

(All room use fees are per day and are available at ½ day rates)

Instructional Service Fee

For groups not directly affiliated with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, service charges may be assessed for the use of audiovisual and technician fees.

Support Service Fee
(All Support Service fees are per hour. Fees are waived on maintenance services requiring less than 30 minutes; services that require more than 30 minutes will be billed at the hourly rate in 15 minutes increments).
