Housekeeping Services

The extent and frequency of housekeeping and sanitation services are provided to satisfy medical, educational, public and departmental needs. Custodial service schedules are also intended to provide a healthy and pleasant environment in a convenient, efficient and responsive manner for building occupants and patrons. Priority for cleaning services is directed at sanitation requirements, public access, function and visibility.

Departments which are scheduled for once-weekly service are requested to clear desks, cabinets, ledges and sills of work items, personal effects, etc. on the scheduled day of service to facilitate thorough and efficient cleaning of work surfaces.

For assistance with removal of large volumes or bulk trash contact the Facilities Management Office (ext. 3-2625).

For best results, cleaning services questions or requests should be directed to the Housekeeping Supervisor (ext. 3-2625).

Conference or classroom set-up schedules are distributed each Friday for the successive week. Room set-up requirements which differ from the standardized room set-up chart should be coordinated with the Housekeeping Supervisor. Any special room set-ups requiring additional housekeeping services or dry cleaning of table cloths may be billable to the department. Immediate assistance with changes or corrections in conference or classroom set-ups can be obtained by contacting the Facilities Management Office (ext. 3-2625).
