Student Relaxation and Study Space
At KUSM–W, four study rooms with networked computers, guest chairs, whiteboard wallpaper provide private space for study are provided in the library, student lounge area, and medical sciences area.
The common areas of the library offer multiple options as a relaxing space for the campus community. Both levels offer an opportunity for a needed respite from the rigors of intense study. The library features a variety of study spaces including larger open study areas in addition to three dedicated study rooms on the lower level for both individual and group use.
The student lounge area includes four private study rooms equipped with computers and a six-computer work area with scanner, printers, and a copier. The lounge also provides cable TV, newspapers, magazines, sitting areas, flat-screen TV, study tables (with electrical connectivity), pingpong and pool table, and foosball table. Lockers are also available for storing personal belongings while studying or in lecture. An eating area with barstools and a small kitchen with hot beverage service, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot are available to all students.
The medical sciences wing features a new student relaxation space which offers sofas, chairs, bar stools, tables, flat-screen TV, and two networked computers.
