Welcome to the Standardized Patient Program of the KU School of Medicine–Wichita. This website serves as a practical resource for students, faculty, and community members participating in the program.
In the "General Information" section, you will find a description of our program and the services it offers.
The "For Standardized Patients" section provides information for those interested in becoming Standardized Patients, including how to become one, what is expected of them, and their role in the education of medical students.
The "For Students" section is designed to help students prepare for the Standardized Patient encounters during their clerkships and on formal assessments, including information necessary for success in encounters; a post-encounter note guide which provides information on writing a high-quality document for the notes that follow encounters; and information on the Objective Structured Clinical Exam, Clinical Skills Assessment, and USMLE Step II-CS exam.
The KU School of Medicine–Wichita Standardized Patient program is located at 1010 N. Kansas, Wichita, KS 67214.
