goal of the Web Development Unit is to provide complete Web
development services that include HTML/Web page design and layout,
form design, Flash animation, interactive and database-driven Web
pages.
The Web Development Unit utilizes the latest technology to produce
interactive, informative, visually appealing, and user-centered Web
pages.
All Web pages developed adhere to the administrative guidelines
for the University of
Kansas Medical Center, the KU School of
Medicine-Wichita and the University Relations
style guide.
Turnaround Time
Small projects consisting of minor text changes or creation can
generally be done within 2 business days.
Turnaround time on large projects such as adding new pages,
creating a new Web site, or a Web site re-design varies based on
the complexity of the job. A time-line and cost estimate will be
provided, and we will work closely with the department to meet
time-frame goals.

customer has interaction and approval at each phase.

How much does having a Web page designed cost?
For
complete site maintenance, there is a yearly charge of $480 per
site. This includes all text changes, re-designs, new graphics, new
pages, etc. Each additional Web site costs $480 per
year.
If I already
have graphics made, can I use them on the Website?
For new sites,
we like to develop all the graphical elements of the site,
including logos and navigation, to insure quality and proper
optimization for the Web. Existing logos and graphics on
a site may be used if they meet Web graphic standards.
Can I put a journal article on the Web?
Yes,
if you have copyright permission. For more information please see

Can PowerPoint
presentations be put on the web?
Yes.
