1.
University Relations will publicize events that KUSM-W sponsors and
approve any publicity Web pages prior to posting. In this instance,
a sponsor is defined as an entity that has made a substantial
financial commitment, without which the event would not exist or
would be severely limited. Similarly, a partnership is defined as a
contractual agreement that benefits both parties and has been
approved by University administration. Any appropriate duplication
of publicity Web pages must clearly give credit to the department
host or sponsor of the event and link to the original story.
2. A Web site link indicates endorsement; we certify the linked
site is reliable for the purpose for which it has been linked to
the school. Therefore, all external links must support the mission
of the University and must meet the needs of our students, faculty,
staff, or residents.
3. The creation and/or hosting of Web sites for external
organizations will adhere to KUMC and KUSM-W guidelines.
4. Legal protection of the University's Web site resides with
Educational Technology. Therefore, copyright permission must be
presented to Educational Technology prior to posting of copied
material.
