Studio Portraits

Whether you’re in need of a simple headshot for a web site or a more creative portrait for award ceremony literature, the KUSM-W photo studio can create a professional portrait using up to four Dyna-lite strobes with soft boxes and grids and a choice of white, black or grey seamless backgrounds or deep grey muslin backdrop.

Environmental Portraits

Equally as powerful as a creative in-studio portrait are environmental portraits, where the subject is photographed in his or her natural setting. Often these portraits include interaction with other people or props and are captured with natural lighting and often provide a more relaxed feel in the final photograph.

On Campus

In addition to portraiture, campus events are also documented in an effort to build KUSM-W’s photo archive collection. Students are photographed during Introphase, Match Day and throughout their learning process at KUSM-W’s educational partners. Employees are photographed celebrating Courtyard Grills, various holiday activities, and other functions throughout the year.

On Location

Much like portraits are not limited to the studio, event coverage is not limited to the KUSM-W campus. Photo sessions, for portraits or events, can be scheduled for an off-campus location.

Professional Prints

Any of the photographs created by the KUSM-W studio are available in print form using the latest in Epson InkJet printer technology on glossy, luster or matte paper. We house an Epson 9600 professional printer, which is capable of printing images to a maximum of 44 inches on the short side of the image. Regular, smaller sizes (wallet, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14) are also available via an Epson Photo 1400.

IDs and Passports

The KUSM-W photo studio is no longer responsible for the creation and archiving of staff or student ID badges. If you lose your ID, please contact security office at 293-2662. We do still also create passport photos for $2.
