Schedule for Fall 2008
Schedule for Spring 2009

Course Description

This course is designed to promote the development of professional responsibility and medical ethics. Incorporated into the topics are medical ethical theory, skills of ethical decision making and recognizing personal and professional responsibilities and value identification. The one-hour sessions are held twice a month.

Attendance

Attendance at Issues in Medicine is required of all third year medical students. If you cannot attend, you must provide Academic and Student Affairs with a written notice stating your reason for non-attendance. Ideally, this should be given before the scheduled meeting. However, if this is not possible, call Academic and Student Affairs (293-2603) before the session and bring in a written reason to be placed in your file as soon as possible.

Repeated unexcused absences will result in academic discipline.
