Visiting Students

Only electives in the fourth year of the College of Medicine curriculum are open to visiting students.

Traditional visiting students may take electives for no longer than a total of eight weeks. The applicant must be actively progressing toward an MD degree at an approved school and must have completed the required clinical rotations in basic medicine, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and family medicine.

Visiting students are accepted from United States and Canadian Liaison Committee for Medical Education (LCME) – accredited schools and from certain foreign medical schools. Students from offshore medical schools will not be accepted.

Students from osteopathic medical schools need to contact the Medical Education Offices at the hospitals for application information. (Wesley RMC, contact: Teresa Johansen, 316-962-2210) (Via Christi/St. Francis MC, contact: Julie Harris, 316-858-3578)
