"The Birds and The Beasts" by Garrett Briggeman
From the very detailed to the wildly abstract, watercolor is the perfect medium for what Kansas artist Garrett Briggeman is trying to capture with his paintings. His most recent works are all centered throughout the animal kingdom. From birds and insects to the beasts that roam, these images touch on all things great and small. Capturing the mood of each creature is very important in conveying the tone of each piece. The look in the eye of one animal versus the screaming maul of another, is the main focus of each painting. Based out of Wichita, Garrett spends his time as a stay-at-home father of two, a musician and watercolor artist.
This exhibit will be on display in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art-West through April 30.
