Travel Requests

All official KUSM-W out-of-state or international travel must be approved by Travel Audit in Kansas City regardless of funding (State, KUEA, Grants, MPA).  By doing so, employer/traveler insurance will cover any injury (workers compensation may apply) and in the event of a death, a $50,000 lump sum payment could be awarded to a spouse or named beneficiary

Note: this procedure only applies when the faculty or staff member is serving in their official university capacity (versus clinic, hospital or other capacity).
